The Three Rivers Teaching School Alliance (TSA) was established in September 2015. This led the training of teachers through the School Direct programme as well as providing individual support to other schools and training and professional development opportunities for colleagues across and beyond the alliance.
In February 2021, The King Edward VI School was appointed by the Department for Education to lead the Teaching School Hub for NOR3; Newcastle, Northumberland and North Tyneside.
The Three Rivers Teaching School hub will play a key role in leading and coordinating professional development across the allocated region. We are delighted we have been selected to aid the improvement of education. This is a great opportunity to work together and play a real part in system development.
We hope that we can provide direct access to tailored professional development at each career stage, in essence, we would be a ‘one stop shop’ for staff training.
Our offer will include:
ITT - we will provide information, guidance, placements and support to prospective teachers, alongside our partnership of schools.
ECF - The two year Early Career Framework package will help new teachers develop knowledge, skills and practices for a successful career in teaching.
NPQ Qualifications - focusing on leadership behaviours and competencies for middle, senior and executive leadership, a range of qualifications to support career development.
CPD - a wide selection of primary, secondary and SEND training opportunities across a range of subject specialisms.
